Dr. Rodriguez seems to be pointing out the obvious: violence will continue with Obama's presidency.To Rodriguez, it seems, any nation-building America does is a continuation of America's racist history, which I tend to think of as a gross oversimplification. His point, it would seem, is that people of color who participate in political thought other than his own are essentially puppets of white racism.
There's some truth in it, but extremely reductionist. It's essentially identity politics turned on its head.
